First a little history: I am a natural blonde who sometimes lightens or darkens my natural medium, mousy shade of dirty blonde to get the “perfect” hair color. Once I’ve achieved my perfect shade, the real work begins, the job of keeping that color perfect. All too often the color fades or becomes brassy with time. I also live in a rural area where the well water (even with a water softener and shower filter) leaves yucky buildup that looks orangish on my blonde hair. It’s such a pain that there are times when I just threaten to dye it brown! Well not anymore! This little tube of conditioner has literally ended my blonde hair color problems.

From the first time I used this stuff I could tell a difference in the tone of my color. It had been a couple of weeks since my last coloring, and there was a hint of brass creeping in. I used this when I got out of the shower, and when my hair dried it was perfect – like I had just colored it. It was also soft and silky and shiny! This stuff actually conditioned too! Believe me, I’m very skeptical of hair products and have a cabinet full of potions that don’t work, so when something does work I’m over the moon.

Basically I apply this to my wet hair, right out of the shower. It takes about a dime size dollop on my short, fine but thick, curly hair. It really melts right into my hair and doesn’t leave any residue that I can feel. On the down side, this cream is a little watery, so be careful when you open it. I shake it well before I use it and that seems to thicken it up. I’m also not crazy about the smell (which is sort of perfumy to me) but it fades pretty quickly. Overall, the benefits totally outweigh the texture and smell issues. To me these are a small price to pay for wonderful hair.

I really can’t rave enough about this stuff. After using it for weeks my hair has never looked better! I’m buying more and hoping it’s never discontinued!
